SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS!

This event, in its 7th year was designed with 3 simple goals:

1. Raise money for our local schools in La Ventana and El Sargento
2. Keep everyone safe (All riders return from Cerralvo)
3. Have fun

Goal Number 1 Drives the Event...

...as The La Ventana Classic grows every year we keep the fundraising aspect forefront to the vision to keep it pure.
This event does not offer huge prize money ...but raises as much money as possible for our schools and community

Where does the money Go??

The 5 local schools get grant applications every year in October in which they give proposals for which projects they would most like to receive funding for. Our current Subdelegado (Mayor) is also given an application for projects as is the local Health Center and any other local community organization seeking funding to do good in our town.  Our committee prioritizies the projects and allocates funds after our fundraising total has been established. Criteria for accepted proposals are 1) bettering our community, 2) parents and students helping in the project, 3) need...The La Ventana Classic aims to help those who help themselves and does not give handouts but rather supports leaders in schools and groups who are organizing people and improving our community.  The La Ventana Classic's work does not end after selecting the projects but rather continues by supervising the projects until completion..No cash is given to anyone, anywhere....all payments are for competeive bids on materials, labor, and services....

Want to learn more and help--come volunteer --there is a lot of good that can be done in this town by working together!!
